z1z 1 Posted March 23, 2020 Share Posted March 23, 2020 Hi guys, I am instaling https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.4.0.40/emby-server-qnap_4.4.0.40_x86_64.qpkg over my 4.3.1.0 install on my TS-251+ as I usually do upgrade method and I keep rebooting the server and it stays on 4.3.10. ozgreg 0 Posted March 23, 2020 Share Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) For the OP (and the community), typically this issue is due to the /var/run/emby-server.pid PID being incorrect. Before upgrade you MUST stop Emby via the QNAP Apps control panel before upgrading or the PID maybe incorrect and thus you cannot shutdown EMBY via either the QNAP App or Emby it's self.. If this has occurred a simple reboot will fix the issue of if you not scared of unix.. ps | grep emby will reveal the PI and a simple kill -9 PID will terminate the process and you can restart the EMBY app as per usual..
