rechigo 293
OS: 10.13.3 EMBY: 4.4.0.40 If I restart manually, the time between me manually closing the server and reopening it via the applications tray and seeing the dashboard pop up in my web browser is 5 seconds If I use the restart function, the time in between me clicking the restart button and seeing the dashboard pop up takes a whole 60 seconds. The first time I used the restart function, I thought it was broken until a minute later it started Why do I care? I don't want to wait a full minute in between restarts during plugin development. I also don't want to have to manually stop Emby and reopen it as that gets old really fast Logs attached if they might contain anything useful EMBIELOG.txt
Luke 36887
The restart button in the dashboard is conservative. It does the restart, then tries to access the server every 10 seconds or so. As soon as an attempt succeeds it is done. For your usage if you want to minimize both delay and click count, you might just want to have a script that you can double click and run.
