mollat 1
I have an issue with the iOS app 1.9.4 on iOS 10.3.4: For a couple of months now it shows the following behavior: If you just start a movie and don't touch it - it plays smooth and fine until the end. However - if you once pause any movie (maybe you switch to another app or you simply press the 'pause' button), the app is completely unusable. If you start the movie again (or any other movie) it plays only 1 second and immediately pauses. If you you completely kick the app out of memory and start it from scratch again, it works like before - until you stop any movie. (This does not apply to the 'back arrow', only the pause button and task switching.) I tried with a reboot, a complete app reinstall, with emby server 4.3.1.0 and 4.4.0.28 beta on both Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04. (over vpn tunnel and without I attach some log files that show only the few seconds where I started the server, started the movie, paused it and then tried to start a few times again... Regards, Andreas P.S.: No problems with web client or android client embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-24837652-b40c-4e26-8d9f-54ad804fc024_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-aac62a3f-fe88-43dc-ac9b-420899e3e34b_1.txt hardware_detection-63720145067.txt Edited March 18, 2020 by mollat
samuelqwe 313
Yup, the iOS app has been broken like that for quite a while on older iOS versions. Once you tap pause, you can no longer resume as it pauses right away. Perhaps this will be the nudge for Luke to fix it Edited March 18, 2020 by samuelqwe

mollat 1
Are you able to update iOS to a newer version? Unfortunately not. It's an IPad 4, about 5 years old - not too bad, even with retina display and LTE - but Apple decided not to provide upgrades any more for this model. I would be annoyed about that if I'd bought it. But it was a present and it is the only Apple product i own. So I am using it just for some music stuff, Netflix/Amazon Prime and Emby. I can live with the bug if I know that it's not my fault... However - I can't give it to the children anymore, they razed our house to the ground when they once had this behavior. But better spend your time on fixing bugs for 4.4... funknapkin 0
I'd like to drop in and mention that I'm also encountering this issue. I recently setup Emby on all my devices and my iPad is the only device having playback issues. It's a very old iPad (a first gen iPad Mini) and the latest iOS version for this iPad is 9.3.5.On top of the "pause/resume" issue described by mollat, playback will pause after every song/video I play and I'm unable to resume playback unless I use the "next/previous" buttons. It's not a huge problem for movies and TV shows but is pretty annoying for music.I recorded a short video showing the issue on my iPad in case it helps: https://youtu.be/PoDYvAotmD4. I also attached logs, if you need anything else I'll be happy to help. embyserver.txt hardware_detection-63721001487.txt ffmpeg-transcode-d2c254a1-5d20-478c-9f4d-f9ec73d3b832_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-81caba14-ba6e-445d-8b9a-92fa09688bef_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-56c57727-f0f6-44ad-a0b1-138df932c018_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-eac54f08-e664-461b-8a8a-11c562f731a0_1.txt
