I did a new install and had tons of issues.  I don't know the reason but when playing TV/Movies on firestick it would pause and buffer.  I changed H264 encoding CRF to 40 and ultrafast and this seemed to resolve the issue.  If someone has an explanation please let me know.  Hope it helps someone save 5 hours great too!

Hi there, this is a whole folder full of log files. Which log example should we be looking at, and at what time?

As an alternative to changing those settings you can also try lowering the in-app quality setting in the fire tv app.

Happened about 430 yesterday.  I could lower the setting but I'd like to see where the bottleneck is and fix that.

The bottleneck is the size of the data being transmitted. What you did is one way of reducing it. The way I'm suggesting should be the first thing you try though.

But actually looking at this log, I see you have QuickSync hardware transcoding enabled. We don't even use those values with QuickSync, so any improvement you saw was either coincidental or just a placebo effect.

I would make sure your intel video drivers are up to date, along with Windows, and then try what I suggested earlier. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Ok I'll go that route.  What I hear you say is that the bottle neck is not my hardware?  I would like to be able to stream a few more streams but it seems 2 is my max.  I saw someone suggest nvidia shield?

Well I assume we're talking about one stream here. Obviously as you increase the number of simultaneous streams, then yes you'll have to pay attention to the server hardware, as well as how many of those simultaneous streams require transcoding. Yes the Nvidia Shield is a great option.

No this example was with 2 streams at once.  I have no issue with one anymore.  It seems to be no real answer on what hardware I would need.  I'd like to do 4 streams 1080.  I'm currently running on HP 840 G3 laptop.
