Hega11 0
Hi everyone, I have a slight issue that I've been troubleshooting for a few days now that I wanted to bring to the wider audience. I have a Windows 10 setup with Emby 4.3.1.0 and Kodi 18.6 both installed locally. After starting Kodi, I initially noticed it took ~20 seconds for Emby for Kodi to connect. This was way too slow as I was not able to play shows during this time due to it not being connected yet. From log analysis I saw immediately that it was an embarrassingly large number of unnecessary plugins that were taking a number of seconds each to start. I have uninstalled almost all of these as they just simply aren't needed and were left over from previous Kodi experimenting! From this I have reduced the connect time down to about 6 seconds! I still feel I can do better though. My current problem is I have a message in my Kodi log that I can't figure out. It seems to take about 3 seconds to run/log: 2020-03-11 09:35:52.935 T:13108 NOTICE: -----------------------------------------------------------------------2020-03-11 09:35:52.936 T:13108 NOTICE: Starting Kodi (18.6 Git:20200229-8e967df921). Guess it is some internal quirk you don't need to worry about, but maybe @@sualfred can confirm. Or @@Angelblue05 can explain when she gets back here somewhen. But honestly I think you can be happy with 6 seconds :-) best regards
xe` 42
I can see this too running on LibreELEC. My assumption was it is something in the addon or perhaps in the Emby dbase metadata (e.g. scraped from a rogue nfo) perhaps. Not sure how to debug this though. Luke 36879
Perhaps look at timestamps of events in the Kodi log?
xe` 42
Good idea. I will make sure I gets the clocks sync'd and see what I can find.
