Team,

Emby Theater has developed an audio sync problem with CNN. All other channels work fine, however, CNN (both live and recorded) looses the audio/video sync. Any idea what is going on?

Only other app I can try is the windows store version. I no longer use W7.

It is happening with other recordings as well now.  Also noticed that when a recorded show is paused and restarted the sound does not return. You have to exit that screen and "resume" in order to get the audio working again. Further, any fast forwarding throws off the audio sync as well

This is a Dell XPS 8910 i7 with W10 PRO and 32 mb memory with an Nvidia 1060. plenty of power and graphics capability.

Did the logs help? Anything else you need?

Luke.

Additional info.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling server. same problems with audio sync.

Installed and tested it with the W10 Store version of theater and same problem.

Uninstalled and reinstalled theater 3.0.11 same problem.

Should it make any difference if my transcoding folder has been placed in a specified location on a different drive from server?? (Emby allows this)

Hi, new Emby user here. I was just looking at some of the topics here in the forum and stumbled upon this. I have Rogers Ignite TV service which is basically TV broadcast via the internet. CNN intermittently has sync issues and is the only channel I have found that does. I don't believe it has anything to do with Emby. It comes and goes.

I actually wanted to say the same thing, because i saw it when testing cable the other day as well. I just didn't want to mention it because I suspected he would not want to hear that as an answer. Thanks for the feedback.
