hanzworld 0
Hi there: Usual caveats - suspect I have something wrong, but can't spot it. What I want to do Find the TV series that having missing episodes and/or seasons. What I think should work Going to the MediaBrowser web client > TV > Episodes, clicking the Filter icon and selecting Missing episodes. What actually happens I get missing episodes, but for one and only one TV show. Note that the TV show in question is The Tunnel. Why I think it's wrong I can manually confirm other TV series that are missing either individual episodes or whole seasons. Below is an example of each Missing episodes in a season Missing seasons What I've checked The series are both 'identified' by MediaBrowser - I don't show it above, but they are shown as TV series, have theTVDB and IMDB id's, are happy as larry. I have "Download artwork and metadata from the internet" and "Save artwork and metadata into media folders" enabled I've restarted the server (software) Checked library scans are happening a-okay I've 're-identified' House, hit Save, done a media scan, and still no joy. I cannot find the "Import missing episodes into seasons" setting which is referred to in old blog posts and pointed to in most of the forum threads. Has it moved or been removed? Stuff and things Server: 3.0.5287.19943 Application: Web Client - no surprises it is 3.0.5287.19943 Log file attached log.txt Edited June 25, 2014 by hanzworld
Yogi 367
I don't use the missing epsiodes feature but have you checked the My Preferences option in your user profile as below. Go to the server click on your user icon and then select preferences and then the display tab.Tick both checkboxes,do a scan and see what happens. I am not sure if this is the right options or not as I said before I do not use this feature.
hanzworld 0
Hey Yogi - thanks for the suggestion, but I had a play and that setting does exactly what it suggests on the box - just hides or shows the Missing episodes when you are in a non-filter, just-browsing-the-TV folder view i.e. for The Tunnel episodes that it showed before, they then appear in the Season 1 folder when browsing around without a filter. Below are the screenshots with The Tunnel, Season 1 with the setting on and off. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make any difference to MediaServers ability to realise that more TV shows than just The Tunnel are missing episodes - with the setting on and off, MediaServer still told me the only things missing were The Tunnel episodes (no House season recognised as missing etc) Setting on Setting off Still stumped
Yogi 367
Well as far as I know it should work for all that is missing. Did you do a refresh of House after checking Is the TVDB ID correct?
hanzworld 0
Did you do a refresh of House after checkingIndeed. No change. Is the TVDB ID correct? As far as I can tell, yes. In my examples I talk about House and Played, both of which have an IMDB and TheTVDB ID - clicking on the arrow next to the ID does bring up the right show. Both can be refreshed without issue (images and metadata). Haven't had any problems with (in the case of Played) MediaBrowser identifying new episodes put in the folder and downloading metadata. Koleckai Silvestri 1150
If the series are newly added, it takes time to record and add all the missing episodes. For instance, I just added "Legend of Korra" to my system and it took two hours before all the missing episodes showed. Good to know In this case I've had them for.. well, years technically, but weeks/months in MediaBrowser - but I'll keep that in mind when testing etc, cheers.
