Bug Report: Group Permissions

I think I have found a bug in Emby 4.3.1.0 on Synology.

On my NAS I have groups instead of direct permissions.

So ONLY the group has direct permissions.

When I added the Emby user to the group of the folder for the library, I was not able to choose the folder.

When selecting it just disappeared (just like when you have no permission).

So, when giving the user direct permission it worked like a charm.

I guest this is not as it supposed to be...

I've always just given the emby user permissions like it says in the wiki.  Never used groups

This is still a permissions problem, not a problem with Emby Server. Emby Server needs to have permissions to the files or it won't be able to access them. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

There is no problem with groups. It works for me, so it should work for you.

See if you have checked the user box (within the group)

5e6fefb9da994_2.jpg5e6fefc87fdf9_3.jpgI'm sure you made the mistake of checking out the users. This has the consequence that you tell the system or group that it is no longer a user. That would be wrong, because the user must always be a user.

Emby group must of course have permission to the path.
"Emby Gruppe" is just my defined name and should be taken as an example.

Many greetings,
