robertw3524 1
I have upgrade my hardware on my emby machine. for some reason my router doesn't allow for me to set up port forwarding on 8096 bc it says it's already in use. i cant see where its in use, and i cant see how to delete it (nor do i have the option of a factory reset) so i decided to use 8099. so i set up port forwarding for port 8099, and emby says it fine, and so does canyouseeme. but i dont seem to be able to access from outside my local network. i have no problems in my lan, my phone, my tv and my other computer can all find it just fine. but if i turn off my wifi, my phone cant connect, nor can my friends phone from their house. mholin 17
try a browser on your cellphone: http://yourip:8099 maybe the installed emby app has port 8096 from last install. when browser is working, try reinstallation of emby app. bye Michael

Luke 37046
Those won't impact remote connections. I would suggest checking out our Connection Troubleshooter. Please try the steps listed there and let us know which ones succeed and which ones do not. Thanks !
