AviatorBimmer 28
CPU - Intel i7-3770K RAM - 8GB DDR3 2400Mhz GPU - nVidia RTX 2080Ti HDD - 5 x 14TB WD HGST Will the above setup work with XPEnology and Emby Server? Should I upgrade anything? FWIW, usage will almost be 100% direct play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FrostByte 5024
Place the OS and Emby server on an SSD or onboard m.2? Really that system will kick most NAS's rear ends

Really that system will kick most NAS's rear ends@@FrostByte Awesome! I thought I would have to upgrade CPU/MOBO/RAM [emoji85] I guess the RTX 2080Ti is what really makes it fly? Ok, here is the deal... I currently have Synology 1019+ with 5 x 14TB drives in a SHR setup. I am new to setting up XPEnology, so please pardon my ignorance. I have a spare 500GB Samsung EVO SSD. Can I install XPEnology on that SSD and once running, can I take out the (5) drives from my Synology 1019+ and connect them to XPEnology? This allows me to keep all my data and SHR pool storage? FrostByte 5024
Yes, been looking to do the same. Here's someone who has already done it with Emby. Others have also https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/13437-migrating-from-synology-to-xpenology-how/ Lots of good info in that forum.
