vhds 1
For years, I use Emby with an external hard drive, connected to my router. When I installed it, I naively thought that it would allow me to use Emby with my computer turned off. Obviously, the server needs to run and it doesn’t work. Now, I’m searching the most space-saving way to watch movies from Emby with my computer off (but with still keeping the ability to manage it with my computer too) - my router and hard drive are in a tiny locker, there is maybe room for something that has the same drive as an HDD. What are your suggestions? Thank you
Luke 37009
Hi there, how about a NAS with Emby running on the NAS instead of your computer?
Guest asrequested
Probably the smallest would be plugging your hard drive into an RPi. But my suggestion would be a mini PC. Better hardware acceleration, with the right GPU (quick sync).
maegibbons 1267
My suggestion would be an Intel NUC i7. Krs Mark Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk
vhds 1
Thanks for the suggestions. I see that the mini-PC option could be interesting. I don't know NAS very well, but that seems also interesting. Is there a NAS that is not expansive and fits in little spaces ?
