Zohroe2z 2
Hi. I have the emby server on unraid and a roku stick connected to the tv. Every time I start the roku emby app I have to add a server and manually log in (no users are listed). Once I do this I can watch movies from the emby server. If I leave the app and then come back, it cannot connect to the existing server (timeout waiting for response from server) and I have to add a new server and manually log in again. Any ideas? Thanks! Happy2Play 8279
Is there anything special about your server setup? Is your server showing the correct LAN and WAN information on the server Dashboard?
Zohroe2z 2
The emby docker runs on the docker network 172.17.x.x on port 8096 and that gets mapped to my 10.10.10.225 unraid server IP port 8096 on the 10.10.10.0/24 lan. (docker-proxy -proto tcp -host-ip 0.0.0.0 -host-port 8096 -container-ip 172.17.0.4 -container-port 8096). So no, I guess the LAN part of that page is basically wrong since it shows In-Home (LAN) access: http://172.17.0.4:8096. The WAN part would be right if I had a port forward set up, but I have not turned that on yet since I am not ready to enable access from the internet until I see how it all works. How can I make emby think it is on 10.10.10.225:8096?
Zohroe2z 2
I see a setting "bind to local network address". I will try that.
Solution Happy2Play 8279 Posted February 9, 2020 Solution Share Posted February 9, 2020 Sounds like you need to bind your LAN address on Dashboard-Network "Bind to local network address".
Zohroe2z 2
I also had to add 10.10.10.0/24 to LAN networks on that settings page to get the users to show up. Thank you very much!
