Guest asrequested
What you also need to be careful of is that is an 8bit surface. So if you play a 10bit video, it'll look like crap.
Chest Rockwell 3
I am not convinced that the log shows what the graphics card is doing, only that these parameters were passed to the driver/card. You should easily be able to see difference between blend and mocomp and there is none. See if you can get test pattern here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YtgZ1gwmM8Kz2KNA-fHzezTr7rI591Wf Also, because my SD material are from DVD, they are 8 bit. Guest asrequested
I don't see a difference either. But I have no way to decern if it's a software or device, limitation.
Guest asrequested
I think you should post a question/issue report for the mpv devs. Make sure to follow the template, or they are likely to close your report. https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues
Guest asrequested
@@Chest Rockwell, I was retesting the Nvidia hardware deinterlacing. It turns out that using it in a profile doesn't work. It has to be used at runtime. So at the top of your mpv.conf. And it works very well. hwdec=cuda-copy vd-lavc-o=deint=adaptive A few changes for deinterlacing are coming. You can follow along, here: https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/7465
Guest asrequested
OK, there is a backward way to use this in a profile. It only gets activated when cuda is used, so using cuda-copy in a profile but use the deinterlacing line in the general area will 'enable' it for interlaced media.
