I just got an HP Pavilion TP01-0066 (AMD Ryzen™ 7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Win 10 Home, 2GB AMD Radeon™ RX 550).  I upgraded it to 10 Pro cleared off all the HP bloat and loaded Emby.  I got a white screen and a hard crash.  I cycled power and it comes up, Emby is installed, I try a clean reboot I get BSOD with Stop Code" DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE."  The box is brand new so I called HP figuring it would save time.  I ran several hardware tests with their Tech - everything tests fine.    HP tech suggested a Windows refresh.  Machine comes up fine, reinstalls fine - works great, until I install Emby.  I even  completely wiped the drive and did a clean install of Windows - again the box works great.  Once I install Emby I get BSOD with the same Stop Code on reboot.  I'm happy to provide any logs / additional details - but I'm stumped.  Any help is appreciated.  Side note - All drivers are up to date per HP's site.

I have also deployed "Whocrashed" with full logging enabled.  Get this:

crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012720-9156-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1C14E0)
Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFDB0A830B8570, 0xFFFFC903D36538B0, 0xFFFFDB0A838448A0)
Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. A device object has been blocking an IRP for too long a time.
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Yes. Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363.  All drivers up to date per HP.

Does it have nvidia anything in it?    Nvidia drivers are notorious for that error...    get the latest and update.

UPDATE:  I went to the AMD driver site and let it auto detect my setup.  Box kept crashing during installation of latest drivers.  I rebooted to safe mode w/networking and reran the auto detect / auto install from AMD's site and my issue appears to be resolved.  10 reboots without a freeze.  Hope this post can help someone else in the future.
