Nvidia Shield is transcoding hevc movie

Hello

 

tried to play a 4k h265 movie but it is transcoding

 

the bandwidth is fine

 

attached the logs

 

 

 

I disabled transcoding server side and tried again

 

say heavy pixelation but server reported a direct stream

attached logs for that too

Hi.  The audio (true HD) wasn't supported by your system so needed to be converted and it looks like you probably had some graphic subtitles selected as well which then needed to be burned in.  If you select a compatible audio track, all of that would probably be negated.

I don't know why it's transcoding. But pixelation while remuxing HEVC content is a known issue:
