rickgillyon 10
I have a single tuner in LiveTV (actually xteve exposing multiple sources) and I want to add two EPGs, Emby and xmltv. I want to use the xml for some channels, Emby data for others. The xmltv epg has matched every channel correctly, as expected. It's matched some on the Emby data, but not well. It seems to currently be picking the xmltv data for everything (because it's first in the list?). So what I want to do is assign the Emby data correctly, and for the channels where I want to use the Emby data, just deselect it in the xmltv lineup. But how do I do that? Clicking on the currently-selected channel here: has no effect. So how do i deselect a channel so that it will go on and use the next lineup? Also, it would be so much better if these items could be in some logical order.
Luke 37028
Hi, we plan to revamp this user interface in upcoming updates, but yes it is currently prioritized by the order. It sounds like you want the emby guide data to be first.
rickgillyon 10
Do I have to remove the xmltv provider and re-add to put it second? And this still doesn't really fix the problem: where the Emby provider has assigned a channel which it doesn't have, how do I un-assign it so it picks up the second provider? Luke 37028
Yes remove and readd. Try using the mapping tool on the xml provider to pick the right one. I'm not sure that will correct the situation though but let's see what happens there. Thanks.
rickgillyon 10
Yeah, I've tried the mapping tool for quite some time, but there doesn't seem to be an option to select nothing. So it won't work, I can't get rid of the incorrect ones.
Q-Droid 634
Can you go into the other guide source and pick the channel you want to override the auto selection?
rickgillyon 10
Yes, I can change the channel's source to another channel. But that still means it has data, so won't use the second source. I really need to be able to set it to nothing.

rickgillyon 10
I was hoping to find a json file somewhere I could edit, but I can't find one.

I really need to be able to set it to nothing. Yeah, I tried a quick test and it looks like I can't override the 1st source by manually selecting a channel in the 2nd source. I have a split tuner config which might be the only way until unlinking a channel becomes an option. That or even more external EPG and channel manipulation.
dovedescent7 3
I have the sort of the same question except what i need to do is get EPG guide data for longer than 24 hours, because providers xmltv only offers 24 hours of guide data at a time. Would one do this in Xteve? If so , how?
