crusher11 842
My TV got an update today and now I'm unable to skip forward or back, either via the forward and back buttons on my remote or via the OSD. Using channel up and down to skip chapters is also broken. Edited January 23, 2020 by crusher11
crusher11 842
Scratch that, it's a specific issue with the file I'm trying to watch. Other files are fine. It has the same issue as other files I've had where seek entries are at the end. Except this one I encoded myself. I have no idea how that happened? crusher11 842
I asked over at VideoHelp and they're saying having seek entries at the end is perfectly normal and files should play and navigate just fine regardless. I tried in the Web player and on my Android mobile and it works just fine. So it's something specific to the LG TV app. @@SamES

The easiest thing is to put the file on a USB and play it directly on the TV, if it has the same problem then there's not an easy way that we can solve this. crusher11 842
I think it's something to do with creating chapters in the MkvToolNixGUI Chapter Editor. As long as at least one chapter initially exists it seems to be fine. Otherwise simply remuxing after doing so (now that chapters do exist) seems to resolve the issue.
