bangis 3
I'm running Emby 4.2.1.0 on a QNAP TS-653A and I've never updated this as I migrated from an old QNAPClub version and opted to do a clean/fresh install However, don't think I want to go through that ordeal again. I haven't tried actually restoring from a backup plugin, and I also don't think that restores collections What's the correct process to update? Do I just download the latest QPKG from the QNAP site then install that? Will it overwrite the old version? Or do I have to backup using the plugin, uninstall Emby, install the latest QPKG, then restore from the backup? I'm hoping that's not the case Nothing's wrong with my setup, so there's really no incentive to update, but just curious what the process would be like. Thanks! PenkethBoy 2063
Yes "just" use the latest build and it will overwrite and update the existing install but first shut down the emby server from the emby server dashboard and also stop the emby server from the app centre update the server then re enable from the app centre I do this for each new version and you will not lose anything Note - dont uninstall the existing version or you will lose everything and have to start from scratch!!
