@pir8radio  - Please install the new DiagnosticsPlugin - https://mediabrowser...nosticsPlugin/

...and check the "Disable HLS Subtitles" option. Does the problem still occur with that setting?

Thanks for trying. Now that those vtt issues are out of sight, it ends up being the well-known HEVC 10bit transcoding problem.

(disable the NVDEC HEVC decoder).

The good news is that we are just a small number of betas away from getting that solved. I haven't decided yet which acceleration type will be first.. ;-)

You should be able to encode 10bit AVC though right?   at least the hardware can...

also its transcoding but why at only like 4mbps?  I don't have a limitation set anywhere.

10bit AVC is rarely supported, but in your case, Chrome does support it and makes Emby choose the High10 profile which libx264 rejects (no 10bit) and falls back to 'Constrained Baseline'.

Could you go to the Codec Parameters and configure the libx264 encoder with a profile limit of 'High' (not High10) and try again?

Under Transcoding you have to set hardware acceleration to Advanced then you will see the Codec Parameters.

Thanks. It's brand-new. You are the first two users seeing it...  :)

I know of that screen, but there is nothing there to select a profile limit.   Only what HW encoder preference is.

Select 'Advanced' there and save.

Then go to the Codec Parameters page

PS: Are you on the latest beta? 4408

Well I didnt have to change anything and they are transcoding at the proper bitrate now.   was there something specific you wanted me to try?
