Luke 37060
Hi, did you link them to your server? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Emby-Connect
Lyfesaver 64
Luke, they have a history of connecting for years. So yeah, I linked them server. This issue started two days ago. I updated today to see if it would fix it. It did not.
Lyfesaver 64
When the problem started I was even out of town.
Luke 37060
Try linking them again. This commonly happens when users delete the server from their accountand then don't know how to get it back.
Lyfesaver 64
I think there is a break down in communication. All 7 of my friends did not delete their links at the same time, Luke.

Solution Lyfesaver 64 Posted January 21, 2020 Author Solution Share Posted January 21, 2020 (edited) I am guessing that Emby does not consider the public IP it is running on automatically when a domain is entered into the settings. It will ONLY allow connections from via Emby connect using any domain entered. I finally got a hold of one of the people who were connecting directly and asked them how well it was working and if they noticed any interruption since around 5PM Saturday. They said my IP changed and got the new one from a family member so that they could connect. I then looked at thing and found my No-IP DUC was crashing on launch so it could not update to make the name resolve. Reinstalling fixed everything. Totally my fault but I was 100% certain that all my friends did not get together and collaborate on some sort of ceremonious "Group Unlinking" at 5ish on Saturday specially considering that hardly any of them know the others exist on this planet. Luke 37060
Thanks for the feedback. I am guessing that Emby does not consider the public IP it is running on automatically when a domain is entered into the settings. Correct. If you customize the domain, then we have no reason to try and detect your public IP anymore.
