Hi

I have a QNAP TS-419PII, with he latest firmware (4.3.3.1161), wanting to install Emby Server on my QNAP NAS.

I've read that I need to install QMono first, and I initially tried Qmono_5.20.1.19_arm-x41.qpkg, which failed saying this was incompatible with the system.  Reading another thread in this forum, I saw that advice was given to download (for my model) an earlier version of QMono so I headed over the Qclub and found the recommended version:  Qmono_5.12.0.266_arm-x41.qpkg

However - when I tried to download it I get a 'failed- Network error' in chrome.

This is the link:  https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/model/download/463586/Qmono_5.12.0.266_arm-x41.qpkg

Does anyone know from where else I can download this QMono version assuming it is what I need to get Emby Server setup on my QNAP ?

Thanks - Steve

Hi

Which version of QTS are you running on your TS-419?

Have you tried adding the QnapClub EU store directly to your App Store so that you can download Qmono from there?

Follow the instructions here to add the app store: https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/howto/1

OK - I just added that QnapCLUB EU store, and refreshed apps, but, I do not see Qmono as an option for downloading. It's not in the list of apps.  - do you see it there? It it under a different name ?

It does not show up in the default store, so make sure you have the QnapClub EU store selected, on the right.

OK - I am sorted.

It is possible that it is not offering me QMono, because the latest version, 5.20, is incompatible with my TS-419PII ?

I am after version Qmono_5.12.0.266_arm-x41.qpkg  (ver 5.12). which (refer to original post), I couldn't download - BUT - I tried again just then and voila - it is downloading now.  - Don't know why originally, it failed on multiple occasions.

Anyway - I have it now.

Thanks -

According to this page, https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/193

I would say the QTS version is not the problem, more that there aren't any recent Qmono builds for ARM processers (as is in the TS-419 II)

The latest version that is supported on the ARM processor seems to be 5.12.0.266

Checked the URL, it seems to work

https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/model/download/463700/Qmono_5.12.0.266_arm-x19.qpkg

EDIT: Woops, missed you by one minute - glad you sorted it!

Having downloaded Qmono_5.12.0.266_arm-x41.qpkg,  for my TS-419 PII, this package also does not install as it says is incompatible.

I wonder if I will ever be able to get this QMono and eventually Emby server, installed on my QNAP.

Although the most recent users in this thread had no issues installing Qmono 5.12

https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/62368-emby-server-on-qnap-arm-x19-beta-ts-419p-ii/?p=727633

It seems they are both experiencing issues when running Emby itself. Strange that you are getting blocked even before that point. Judging from their experience, i can only assume that Qmono is supported by your device and QTS version, not sure what's happening in your case though

yes thats not going to work

you need the x19 version of the qpkg for qmono

x41 is for newer arm processors

also once you get it installed the arm processor is very underpowered so the experience will be very slow - not an emby problem
