byakuya32 17
You should add the option to choose flac for there audio in converting videos so that there is a lossless audio option as doing a format like atmos would be difficult and require licencing. What kind of source would you want to convert to flac? I'm not sure how useful it would be to convert a lossy format to lossless..
crusher11 851
Converting lossy to lossy means the converted version will be of even lesser quality than the initial lossy compression, so the original being lossy doesn't lossless makes no sense. But no one mentioned converting lossy to lossless. I assume he means a Blu-ray a 5.1 or 7.1 format converted to a lossless audio experience. But as I said audio is not my format so I may be missing something. Regardless, trying to upconvert is usually an exercise in futility. softworkz 3326
I'm trying to understand the use case. I don't think that a lot of video players are supporting multi-channel flac.
