evewatchesstuff 1
Hey nerds, I've got a weird problem that just cropped up. The problem is I have 2 variables and can't pinpoint if its a result of my stupidity or an actual bug. I recently moved from a dockerized install on a debian server to a dockerized install on an Unraid server. I copied both my 'emby' folder as well as the folder where I told it to store metadata and such. Transfer worked well but my 'poster' images disappeared and just showed up as broken files. However, all the other images for the most part showed up (logo, disk, banner etc). So I figured run refresh metadata and replace images. Problem is now I'm stuck with 'this' on most of the movies and series. Any ideas guys? Thanks <

NGNear 2
OK, I'm having the same problem. I was running an older version of Emby Server that Emby Theater refused to connect to (I think it was 4.0.1.0), so I updated this evening. I'm running on Ubuntu 18.04 and I grabbed the .deb file for 4.3.1.0 and installed it via the instructions here: https://emby.media/linux-server.html Once I got emby server running again*, I found that for all my media, despite having a poster.jpg (along with - mostly - landscape.jpg, logo.png/jpg and fanart.jpg files) Emby seems to use the landscape.jpg file instead... in some cases (there are some folders with landscape.jpg files that just show solid colour, no image). From what I can tell, it is honouring tags in local nfo files. Edit to add: It has also "lost" the thumbnail(?) image for individual episodes in the "Continue Watching" and "Next Up" streams on the homepage I haven't started troubleshooting yet. * I found that I could launch the updated Emby from the command line, but it would fail when running as a service (permissions error for logging). Since I use a non-standard user to run Emby, I had to dive into /usr/lib/systemd/system/emby-server.service and change it back to my username of choice Edited January 16, 2020 by NGNear
Solution ebr 14902 Posted January 16, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 16, 2020 Hi. Make sure a library scan has completed successfully since the server update. Thanks.
evewatchesstuff 1
So its fixed. All I did was a) delete the metadata folder (didnt do it) tried manually refreshing metadata on a per item basis (didn't work either, except for a few titles?) c) noticed there was an update and so restarted The last thing got it, whatever it was. Now it's slowly rebuilding the metadata with the appropriate posters.
NGNear 2
Yep, looks like the scan fixed the issue, thanks. I checked the server admin, it did a library scan today while I was at work. Images were fixed when I got home this evening, no tinkering required.
