CoachRick 0
I’m trying to watch a movie on my Emby server on my fire cube. First off the app is still 1.7 something and I see the newest version is 1.9. Is that available for an upstate on cube? If so how do I do that. There is no update option anywhere. Secondly. The movie runs fine on my iPhone over Emby. On my cube I get audio after hitting playback correction. I still do not get a video. And then it finally says too many errors. Does the inability to update it cause this issue? Or is it the fire cubes inability to play this type of audio? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Luke 37060
Hi there @@CoachRick, our Fire TV app is published to the Amazon app store and it will update automatically through the store: https://emby.media/emby-for-fire-tv.html Emby Server will not update automatically for the Fire, but it will notify you when an update is available. ebr 14910
Hi. The current version of our Fire TV app is 1.7.53. Is that what you are running? To chase down your playback issue, please go over an example. Thanks. How to Report a Problem
CoachRick 0
I tried watching a specific movie. The movie is running 1080HVEC and audio is AAC 5.1. It runs flawlessly on iPhone. But on the cube and windows. There is audio but no video. I have option set to downplay to stereo. Wondering if there is other troubleshooting things I can do. ebr 14910
Hi. Also, what is the cube connected to and how? What is the resolution of the display device?
CoachRick 0
I am connected via Ethernet cable. And I am displaying it on a 4K tv
ebr 14910
Connected to the TV via HDMI I assume. Is the cable you are using 4K rated? If you can send a log from the app (instructions above) after trying to play this item for a few seconds, there may be some clues there. Thanks.
