Nvidia Shield Emby app failing to load and crashing

I'm experiencing a common issue with the Emby app not loading on the Nvidia shield TV 2019. Just about every day I go to load Emby, it will not. I either get a flash of the Shield home screen with Emby never loading or Emby will load into an indefinite black screen. I've left it for over 30 minutes and it was still in the black screen. Every time I can force close Emby and then it will load up immediately and work.

 

I've also noticed on a less common scenario that the app will crash when playing back content. And it always seems to happen within the first few minutes of starting the video. I can't say for sure but it seems to be occurring on 4k UHD content only. I don't have any logs of a playback crash yet.

 

I am on Emby Windows server 4.3.1.0 and Android TV 1.7.54g. I submitted AndroidTV log on 1/8/20 at 8:42 pm EST. User is "Primary". The Shield refused to open Emby and just flashed the home screen at 8:39 pm and then at 8:40 when I tried again I got a black screen. Force closed Emby and started watching Hacksaw Ridge about 8:43pm.

Ok, @@ebr has been looking into this and I think the beta channel may resolve this. I believe it will be released to stable very soon. Thanks.

Beta .74g has fixed the loading issue. At times I'll still get the Shield TV screen flashing the first time I click on Emby but when I click it again it will load instead of black screen.
