overtime39 1
When on wifi with a Pixel 4 XL I receive a pixelated picture. (Attached screen shot) Both HD an SD channels are pixelated on this particular device. This is not the case on older android devices on the same network. I did reboot the HDHomerun just to rule that out. I have an HDHomerun Extend model HDTC-2US Firmware: 20190621 I have tried setting transcode configuration to None an Mobile with no difference The other problem is that remote viewing/streaming of live tv outside my network is taking around 5-6 minutes on average to start playing on the android device. When it does start it plays steady without any buffering, so it's not the cellular internet speed/connection. Also no pixelation on HD or SD when streamed remotely like the wifi connection. Allow hardware transcoding is enabled could this be the culprit? The server is a Win 10 Intel 2500K 16 gb ram that might hit 20% cpu usage when streaming HD live tv so I don't believe the server to be the bottleneck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Edited January 4, 2020 by overtime39
ebr 14862
Hi. You are using the Android mobile app, correct?
overtime39 1
Yes I am just tried disabling the Allow hardware transcoding option on the server an that seems to have fixed the problem. I don't think the HDhomerun Extend is strong enough to transcode at least well anyway. Edited January 4, 2020 by overtime39
