Running the beta from https://emby.media/c...oid-mobile-3088

Release notes are that video upload is supported but they aren't uploading. Also, as with the iOS camera upload (separate thread for that) I must do a little dancing around the camera upload settings checking/unchecking boxes for server and wifi only uploading to get it to upload new photos (first upload worked well on its own).

I have emby set to save to device specific directory.

Yea mine sometimes upload and sometimes dont until I jump into the camera upload menu, which then triggers the upload and the notification though this is on a Mate 20 Pro.

@nikc0069, you're videos are uploading?

Mine are not, just photos and to trigger the upload of new ones I must go into Camera Upload as you describe. I originally stated I needed to check/uncheck Wifi Only but have now found it will trigger just by entering the Camera Upload screen.

My videos are indeed uploading. But most of the time I need to go into the camera upload settings.

@Luke it looks like I'm not the only one this happens to. Are there any logs we can get you that would help?

Please download the latest version from the testing topic, then open up the camera upload settings screen to force the process to start, then provide an app log:

Thanks.

Looking promising. Don't seem to have a logs folder but camera upload seems to have triggered this time. I'll wait an hour and test again.

You may need to download again as I may not have had logging enabled in the one you got. Thanks.

No dice. Still need to visit the camera upload settings for anything past the first upload.

Testing with powergenie disabled. First two uploads worked great. Third has not triggered yet. Will see if it's uploaded by morning.

@Luke happy to report it took a while but photo uploaded. So looks like Powergenie on huawei kills the app. So you may need to contact them to ask them to whitelist the app.

@Luke, same as with nickc0069 - the upload takes a while (hours) but it eventually triggers on its own without having to enter Camera Upload; however, if I do then the upload is triggered immediately. But my videos are still not uploading. Thoughts?

I'm not sure yet. Sounds like something is not allowing the periodic background process to run. It could possibly be some Samsung-specific battery saving feature.

Oddly, removing Powergenie sorted mine out. But doing the same thing on my wife's mate 20 pro doesn't seem to have fixed things. Only real difference is hers is on android 9 and I am on android 10. Don't know if that's a clue?
