how to get vu+ plugin to work

I have installed the plugin and pointed it in the settings to me receiver with a correct http://ipaddress, Streaming port (8001) and web port (80) are also correct. I tried it with a single  TVBouquet which is just named "TV" and without that (assuming it reads all the channels).

Still I do not see anything when I click on LiveTV on the emby web page and the recordings from my vu+ do not show up neither.

Streaming directly from the vu via its OpenWebIf Webpages works as it should, so the box itself can do it, but I am totally clueless what I am doing wrong with the plugin, so any help would be appreciated.

I tried turning on debug logging in the hops I see some clues anywhere, but that switch doesnt seem to do very much, at least not in the normal logs sections of emby server.

Hi, did you refresh the guide data in emby server?

I had no idea that I had todo that, nor where I could achieve such a thing. Although "guide data" somehow implies to me that I have at least some channels, but I dont even see that so far.

A button to refresh the guide is on the main live TV configuration screen in emby server settings.

but there I have to configure some guide first??? I thought the whole point of the vu+ plugin is, that it reads that stuff directly from my sat receiver box. I have not configured anything there yet. I do not have an xml file needed for option 1 and no login to option 2.

That seems a bit misleading. Does the plugin not just fetch stuff from my sat box?

No, all I said was you had to click the button to refresh guide data. Currently you have to do that once after installing a live tv plugin. Then after that, it will run automatically once every 24 hours to pull new data in. Does that answer your question?

my apologies, reading (and not assuming) always helps!

I made the error and entered a url into the first settings field instead the plain ip address. Now with that corrected and pressing the Get Guide button again I have finally channels unter Live TV, so thank you for being patient and letting myself get there in the end ;-)

Thanks for the feedback.

Luke, excuse me, but I read a lot of post trying to connect Vu+ with Emby and I can not do it...

Steps I followed:

1.- Update Vu+ image up to last version 3.0.9 (Enigma2 BlackHole)

2.- Install plugin Vu+ in Emby

3.- Config as: deco_IP, 8001, 80, Vu+ TVBouquet: "Movistar+"   (I tried forcing for search only this TVBouquet and not doing)

4.- Going to Emby menu: Live TV, and add HD Homerun at the same deco_IP

5.- Finally pushing button "refresh guide data"

6.- In the frontpage it should be channels inside Live TV? -> No

This is the log:      https://pastebin.com/5M6C2YXN

The IP of my deco is 192.168.1.70:

And the response of http://192.168.1.70:80/web/getservices   is:     https://pastebin.com/A3cT3v8s

And the response of http://192.168.1.70/web/timerlist        is:       https://pastebin.com/15YpRF4h

See if you might find the problem, please, I do not know what can I do. If you need more logs I can do it

The stream from Webif works, and inside there all TVBouquets and the guide. I extracted the data of a .m3u8 of one channel and I see the port 8001 is right.

Unfortunately I don't have any VU+ specific knowledge. The plugin was built by a community member, and I am helping with compatibility updates for newer server versions.

Are you sure you even need the plugin though? If you can export VU+ to m3u, then you can just import that into Emby directly without using the plugin at all.

Yes, of course! I can extract the m3u files. But... How can I import it in Emby?

Thanks you for the idea :D

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

Thanks you, I tried this M3U list, but it has not seem works in Emby or VLC, so it seems a problem with my LAN. I will try tomorrow with fresh ideas, it's 2:39AM jajaja

EDIT: to make it works... is only necessary import the M3U list? Or is it necessary install another plugin?

Yes you need emby premiere. You could also use strm files or the iptv plugin, but those only work with single streams so you'd have to setup each channel individually.

Luke, I tried .STRM files, it seems works, but Emby try to identify it and said that I have multiples "Transformers" movies jajajajaja

The files are names "1 - La 1.strm" and "2 - La 2.strm"

How can I disable the auto identication in one folder?

EDIT:

I tried too creating a .m3u8 file with the streams I want, Emby detects the playlist Emby only read the first stream. What I am doing wrong?

You can turn off internet metadata features for the library, or use the home videos content type.

This isn't supported. One strm = one url. For three urls, you need to make three strm files.
