Dizzy49 94
I'm using Emby for Android Mobile 3.0.87 on OnePlus 7 Pro with Android 9 I am unable to download anything to my phone. I have tried and it says "Downloading..." for a few seconds, but nothing happens. Nothing ever shows up in my Download folder. It hasn't worked for me for quite some time. I took to downloading/watching Netflix while I traveled, but I've been traveling a lot recently and I'm exhausted my Netflix queue. My checked permissions and it says that Emby has permission to Storage.
Luke 37046
Hi, we register a download process with the Android OS. Sometimes you just have to be patient and give it time to run.
Dizzy49 94
I'm going on three hours. I hope it wouldn't take longer to start.
Dizzy49 94
Reinstalled Emby on my phone and tried again. Checked the server and it says they're are no jobs. I noticed in the settings that there isn't a path for the temp file specified. Is that required?
seanbuff 840
Yes, it's required in the case of a conversion before download. Are you attempting to download in Original Quality or are you selecting a lower quality? The latter will require a conversion process, which will take some time to complete. The download will start once the conversion is complete (from the directory that you select in the settings)

Maybe it requires conversion. did you explore the downloads section of the server dashboard to find out? The app also has this information as well. Dizzy49 94
Ok, I set the Converstion directory on my server. I cleared the cache and storage then uninstalled Emby from my phone. I restarted the phone and reinstalled. Tried to download an episode again. Nothing. Nothing showing up in the Conversion area of Server. I don't see anything in the log either. (I waited until after midnight so the log wouldn't be so bad) embyserver.txt

Luke 37046
Based on the log it looks like you are checking the Conversions area of the server dashboard, but that is for the Convert Media feature. Did you check the Downloads section of the server dashboard?
