Hi Guys,
just FYI: I have updated from the 4.3.0.24 beta to the 4.4.0.1 beta.
The problem is equal than it is with the non-beta version: Whatever video-playback I try to start, the server crashes immediately.
Only the re-install of the older beta helps.

Regads,
Maeffjus

Thank you for the post.  I was going to upgrade and try the new beta as the release notes state it fixes transcoding issues.

@maeffjus

I too have the same issues.  I have both MP4 encoded and MKV direct blu-ray rips.

If I tried to play any of these movies with an audio track not supported, it crashes Emby.  If I use an audio track supported, it plays without any issues.

E.g.
MKV - TrueHD 7.1 Crashes; DD 5.1 Plays fine.
MP4 - DTS 5.1 Passthru Crashes; AAC Plays fine.

Maybe try another audio track prior to starting the movie and see if this resolves your issue.

At this point both the stable and beta channels have been updated to resolve the arm64 transcoding crashes. Thanks.

I can confirm that it works, but it took this time about 65s until the stream started in the app. (Web still working fine)
