Is there a setting to specify the resolution or to avoid this? Some are smaller, some are bigger ... depends on the movie. ebr 14905 Posted December 3, 2019 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Hi. It sounds like you have letterboxed and/or pillarboxed and/or non anamorphic movies. Are these old DVD rips? Those black areas are a part of the video frame but there is a "Zoom" option in the app during playback that will allow you to adjust the display.
