Live TV failure

Hi

I was hoping to watch Monday Night Football, but have had serious issues with watching ESPN.  Other channels work fine, but the live sports cast had massive pixilation and outright failure.

I have attached the server and ffmpeg logs.  Ugh, I'm not sure if it is because of Frontier FIOS or something else.  I see lots of errors in the ffmpeg files.

Any help would be most appreciated.  I did have issues earlier with watching a recorded TV show as it is being broadcast, but I wasn't able to fix it.  I did move my recording drive to an M.2 drive, so access and performance should be pretty good.

Help...and thanks

Hi

I have a pair of HDHomeRun Prime 3's for cable and a single HDHomeRun Connect Duo to pick up CBS that Frontier doesn't carry.  When I was on Comcast, all worked flawlessly.  I still wonder if the signal is wonky...

So, I'm looking at the logs on the HDHR3.  I see examples of the following:

20191203-04:44:49 CableCARD: tuner0 570 ESPN HD (auto:735MHz-602) access = not-subscribed
20191203-04:46:05 Tuner: tuner0 http stream ended (remote closed)
20191203-04:49:01 Tuner: tuner0 tuning 570 ESPN HD (auto:735MHz-602)
20191203-04:49:03 Tuner: tuner0 streaming http to 192.168.19.185:56719
20191203-04:49:04 CableCARD: tuner0 570 ESPN HD (auto:735MHz-602) access = subscribed
20191203-04:50:28 Tuner: tuner1 tuning 554 Paramount Netwo (auto:861MHz-647)

Perhaps this belongs on the SiliconDust forums, but it is interesting that CableCard says its not-subscribed but then says it is...

Any clues?

Did you try rebooting the HDHomerun Prime devices? They may just need rebooted to resync with the cable company you use for channels you are authorized to and such.

There is a status screen on the HDHomerun web interface that shows the state of how well the device is communicating/sync'ing with the cable provider and such. (Don't remember the specifics displayed - not in a location I can access mine right now.)
