I have duplicates for all the shows I have watched for some time now. I am using Emby next-gen as Kodi 19 only works with it. Getting tedious to clean up Trakt history now.

Do we know if this happening for all kodi plugins (EmbyCon, Emby next gen and Kodi Media Import) or is it just Emby next gen?

I thought it was just Emby for Kodi. @quickmic has looked at it previously.

Ok cool, i have not seen any reports directly referencing EmbyCon so assume just Emby next gen.

It's still on the review list...

For the moment, blame next-gen and not Emby server. Most likely it's a next-gen issue 😄

I keep you updated...

Are movies and episodes affected by the issue, or just episodes?

Any update for this? When can we see the fix for this?

It's already fixed since a few builds ago.

I'm running the latest beta but still having the issue. Latest stable one in the repo is also quite old. Searching for updates doesn't do anything.

@BaukeZwart is right, but I'll check again. Probably I missed an edge case.

Last beta was quite buggy for me, last experimental is solid

I checked again, but it really is the latest beta. So I guess something’s still indeed wrong or missing there :)

I also have this problem with emby-next-gen 5.3.0 (latest beta version).

I have duplicate Trakt-entries for everything I watch in Kodi through Emby-next-gen. Yesterday, I updated to the newest beta (5.3.0), but the problem still persists even though others report that the problem was fixed. This is not the case for my situation.

Have you trakt installed on Kodi? If yes, this could cause the issue please uninstall. If no, can you design a testcase for me? Does it always happen or under special circumstances? Is there a pattern?

I don't have Trakt installed on Kodi.

It happens every time I finish watching an episode/movie. After that in Trakt I have one entry on the time I started watching and one entry on the time it finished.

I run Emby version 4.6.1.0, Trakt plugin version 3.5.0.0 and Emby-next-gen 5.3.0 on Kodi 19.1

Cross-posting:

“Even after removal of Trakt on Kodi the issue still remains. I have sent a Kodi log earlier, I hope you can take a look at it and fix the issue that way.“

@markdj @Suusepuus

Thanks for the log, I don't see any issues there, but you have very very much plugins installed.

I still think it's not an issue with the plugin. I performed countless tests, no issue.

Only way to prove it, please install a stock Kodi (on a PC or whatever) and just install next-gen plugin.

Perform a test and if it's raises the issues again, you can blame next-gen 🥴 I'll recheck as soon as this is confirmed. If not, you can install all you plugins one after another and see what causes the issue.
