Emby Server having issues, can't connect anymore.

 Started having an issue recently with my EmbyServer. Was working fine a couple of days ago but suddenly started having this issue. I wouldnt be able to connect to my server and would get a problem loading page error on my browser when going to the page. I tried replacing my files with the new system files on the latest update but that wasn't able to fix it. I have restarted both my PC and server several times but that hasn't worked either. I attached my latest log. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Hi.  Did your machine lose power or did you kill the server task via task manager (or run out of disc space)?

 

Unfortunately, it looks like one of your database files is corrupt.  Do you have any raw backups (not the plugin backup)?

 

Luke can probably tell for sure, but I think it is the displayprefrences.db.

Yeah I lost power for a second around the same time. I still do have all the server files I had when I used to run it on a different machine. Do I need to grab some files from there?

Actually unfortunately it's the library.db file. Please shutdown the server and rename this file:

F:\Niche Apps\Emby\programdata\data\library.db

Then start the server back up and you'll need to run a library scan.

 

Please note, the most common cause of a corrupt database is a sudden and abrupt termination of the emby server process - for example, a power loss, server machine crash, force killing the process, etc.

I am having issue with the shows scanning but no finding the episodes. Also the scan is taking forever. I have been scanning for over a day.

 

It all started when I was having issues with my up next not loading.  First I tried to vacuum the database but that did not work then I tried to separate my shows in different libraries which lost all of my metadata.  So now I am trying to put it all back & it isn't working.  I just need some help.

You enabled MovieDb and Omdb for your tv library, that's why it's taking a long time. Those will cause it to take considerably longer.

Defaults are tvdb only for the tv libraries. It's up to you to enable whatever you wish, you just have to be aware that everything comes with a cost.

Example attached.

If a initial library scan has not finished, nothing in Emby is going to work right.

 

Is you metadata/images with media or centralized?  If centralized, the new database nukes all central metadata/images and starts over as all the linking only existed in previous database.  Just like central metadata/images are lost if you move/separate your libraries.

 

I will assume Vacuum was reference to not helping your issue.

What does that mean?  How large of library?
