mutu310 70
Hi @@ebr and @@Luke, I'm trying to pick BlurN up after months of inactivity. The problem I'm having is that plugins are no longer updating, so I can't even test my new release. What should I be looking for? Likewise if I go to Plugins > Catalogue, the page never loads. Connection to https://www.mb3admin.com/admin/service/EmbyPackages.json timed out at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsyncInternal(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod)at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsync(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod)at Emby.Server.Implementations.Updates.InstallationManager.GetAvailablePackagesWithoutRegistrationInfo(Boolean enableCache, CancellationToken cancellationToken)at Emby.Server.Implementations.Updates.InstallationManager.GetAvailablePluginUpdates(Version applicationVersion, CancellationToken cancellationToken)at Emby.Server.Implementations.ScheduledTasks.PluginUpdateTask.Execute(CancellationToken cancellationToken, IProgress`1 progress)at Emby.Server.Implementations.ScheduledTasks.ScheduledTaskWorker.ExecuteInternal(TaskOptions options) I can access this page from my browser, but for some reason Emby Server (running from my Synology NAS) cannot. Luke 36881
Looks like the connection is timing out. Make sure nothing is blocking it such as security software, firewall, or VPN.

Make sure nothing is blocking it such as security software, firewall, or VPN.I disabled the firewall on the NAS and the results were the same. The strange thing is that Emby is able to detect that a new version of the server software is available. BlurN is also able to read the blu-ray RSS but times out on www.omdbapi.com. Very strange. Luke 36881
Yea I can only tell you what is happening but I can't determine the reason as it is specific to your environment. If you have Synology quick connect enabled, try turning that off.

If you have Synology quick connect enabled, try turning that off.Never enabled QuickConnect. The problem is strange in that some hostnames will never have problems (providing there is actual network connectivity) while others will always have problems. And it's a timeout so I'm going to exclude DNS as being the issue here.
mutu310 70
So, any suggestions please? Should I reinstall Emby and if so how can I ensure no data loss? Edited December 3, 2019 by mutu310
Luke 36881
I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling will make any difference. Have you tried Emby Server 4.3?
patje57 9
So, any suggestions please? Should I reinstall Emby and if so how can I ensure no data loss? I solved same / similar issue by disabling IPv6 on the NAS. I had Emby calls to other https addresses timing out as well, all solved for now. Guess it worth giving a try.

patje57 9
You're a Godsend. Thanks! Now you got me curious as to how you figured that out. Had same issue on a Linux box when testing Emby, found the suggestion on switching of IPv6 in 1 of the Linux forum threads. Checking the URL's from the log with wget in the terminal confirmed the time outs with IPv6 active and no time outs when disabled. On Synology i already had switched of IPv6, don't remember the reason. Glad your problem seems solved as well.
