Hi guys,

I've updated my beta version of emby server (from 4.3.0.13 to 4.3.0.23.

 - Freenas 11.2-u6

 - Use "latest" pkg

The mono-sgen process seems to crash silently (without any log, even at debug) at random time. The only log I can see is in FREENAS console that said:

FREENAS kernel: pid 6450 (mono-sgen), uid 989: exited on signal 6

I think this could potentially been related to DLNA management because every time it crash, I can see in the log about some DLNA processing, but it's just a feeling.

I've attach the server log.

Thanks

EDIT: This does seems to happen only when my LG TV is running....

I would try rebooting your machine, and reboot any server plugins that you don't need.

Hi Luke,

I currently have 2 jail (identical) and 1 running 4.3.0.13 and the other 4.3.0.23 (for testing) and the 13 don't have any problems.

Moreover, I turned off my LG TV after writing my first post, and the 4.3.0.23 is running great!......

I admit it is very strange behaviour but.... this doesn't happen with previous version!

BTW, with the number of time I reboot all my plugin/server/tv, I think I covered all situations for that

EDIT: I just redo the same test and I have the same result. When the TV is OFF, the emby server is running well. BUt As soon as I turn on the TV. The process is killed.....

EDIT2: I unpluged the network cable from my LG TV and now, the server seems to run great. I'll test it like that for couple of hours to validate this is really the DLNA causing this. Will come back later.

Well, I confirm that the emby server doesn't crash anymore since I disconnect the network cable from my LG tv.

What I can see from the log is before crashing, there is 2 log lines:

2019-11-18 14:25:24.351 Debug Dlna: Found matching device profile: LG Smart TV
2019-11-18 14:25:24.354 Debug Dlna: Received control request GetSearchCapabilities

And after that, nothing.

Maybe someone have change someting in DLNA management recently?

Thanks

Do you have any other dlna devices to compare with?

Hi Luke,

No, I don't have any other DLNA device running on my network. I have Chromecast, google home, but neither act as dlna client.

But if you want me to test some classes (for example with more log) I have no problem with that or any other way I can help you.

Thanks

Thanks

I don't see the same line than with my LG TV:

Maybe it is a good start to search?

Thanks

Well 4.3.0.22 is still available. Alternatively you could stay on 4.3.0.23 and just install older versions of the dlna plugin.

DAWN..... This was the last place I thought to look to change the version of the dlna... I really thought I needed to download an old Emby.DLNA.dll file....... Anyways, thank for the hint, I will remember!!

I'll test those old version to see which one broke this. In the meantime, here is a more complete log from DLNA when the server crash (I checked the DEBUG level for DLNA, saw this during my last research of the saint graal DLNA plugin version):
