vfrjim 1 Posted November 15, 2019 Share Posted November 15, 2019 Running a Pixel 3, running Android 10 and when playing back music via Emby, it does not keep the phone unlocked and backlight on, is this a feature or a bug? Kinda problem when driving and listening to music. I saw no settings that I can change.Thanks! To answer your question, no, we only do that during video playback, but i guess I can understand the use case you're asking for. Did the competitor's app require a setting to enable this? vfrjim 1 Posted November 16, 2019 Author Share Posted November 16, 2019 First of all, not using android auto, just connected via bluetooth to my radio in my car and yes, all my audio apps (Spotify, SiriusXM) allow the override of the lock screen via settings in the menu. I had to use an additional app to keep the backlight on when using plex but since my phone was recently updated to Android 10, that app will not function and BTW, the main reason that I left Plex was that they would not Direct Play a FLAC file, it would transcode it to ~550kbps which was not acceptable to me and they would not reply in fixing it and your app allowed me to direct play high-bitrate FLAC files, so I became a lifetime Emby user and abandoned my lifetime plex pass.
