Port forwarding

Hi,

 

I have a Plusnet router.

I have subscribed to Emby in every respect but still have trouble with access.

Do I need to specially port forward on the router?

If so how? It lists lots of games etc, but nothing for Emby.

I'm sort of aware of tech stuff, but nothing specific. (I'm getting on a bit, and life isn't getting easier with the things I still have to learn)

I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what to do? 

It is just a fairly standard Plusnet Hub.

Hi.  In these instructions, in step 3 if there is an "Other" or "Custom" choose that.  In reality, it does not matter what you call the rule. Just make sure you choose the proper port to forward and the proper IP address of your Emby Server to forward it to.

Also, the above is only relevant for external access to your server.  If you are having problems accessing the server locally then you probably need to check your firewall setup on the server machine.
