Mytre 1 Posted November 12, 2019 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Hello, I am trying to move my pc from a huge atx case, to a small itx or microatx case, they usually dont have space for 3.5" drives, I have my media server storage for emby in a 2tb 7200rpm drive, I was thinking of moving to a wd blue 5400rpm drive , but no idea how would this affect me ? I usually have 2 or 3 devices streaming anytime in my network, and I have emby installed on my ssd with windows (c drive). My other specs is a 3600x with 32gb of ram just in case its needed. I was considering the firecuda 2tb sshd drive but no idea if that would actually make a difference for emby an 1080p to 4k movies on emby. Someone with a bit more knowledge could help me here a bit? the current drive is a barracuda 2tb ST2000DM006. @ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest asrequested Posted November 12, 2019 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Probably not. The only thing might possibly notice is a little start up latency. I believe ebr uses 5400s.
