@@ebr There is no way on God's Green Earth that TRUEHD will DirectPlay unless the user settings (transcode ability) for that user are corrupt/broken. There is just no way. The TRUEHD detection in the app is commented out. There is no way it appears in capabilities as possible. I tried both the BETA and STORE versions of the app just to make sure against my TRUEHD test items. They all play just fine transcoding to Dolby/AC3. It is not possible to direct play TRUEHD without the server forcing it.

I do notice this:

That error repeats itself over and over and over and over. 192.168.1.1 is a router or access point or smth?

Exactly.  That's why we know the stats display was incorrect.

It looks like the stats for nerds display is wrong as that item should be remuxing just like it shows in that log.

@@Skopin when did you capture that stats screen?  Was it right at the beginning of playback?

I don't remember exactly when, but it wasn't right at the start; it was at least a few minutes in.

Based on the timestamps, those portions of the log are not from the beta version of the Roku app. My mother-in-law was watching my daughter during the day yesterday, and they were still using the version of the app that had the issue with 7.1 audio files. We didn't start using the beta version until at least after 5pm.

blade005

@@blade005 are you seeing the same issue in nerd stats as shown in post 42?

Roku TV: 7103X

TCL Model: 55P605

Roku OS: 9.2.0 build 4129-30

Emby Roku BETA: Build 192

Soundbar: Vizio SB36512-F6

I don't know if my 2017 TCL will ever passthrough 7.1 audio. The only time I get ATMOS support currently is with Prime Video content (Jack Ryan, Carnival Row) with DOLBY DIGITAL PLUS selected from Roku Audio setup.

BETA build 192 and 193 seem to be remuxing 7.1 AAC audio to 5.1 AC3 and HDR video is playing fine. My dashboard is showing a DIRECT STREAMING treatment as I would expect. STATS for NERDS seems to be showing correctly with 7.1 AAC Audio in Original Media and 5.1 AC3 remux for stream.
