Hi, I just installed emby and I mostly view my media via the webapp on my mac. I love the filters and the sorting options but I was wondering if its possible to show the IMDB ratings on the covers in the grid view of the library.

For example :

What my webapp now looks like :

Thanks!

Hi, I created a service just for this, it shows advanced ratings data on posters in Emby (and many other media center apps): https://ratingposterdb.com/

I am also in the process of trying to get a plugin for it available in the Emby plugin catalog: (there is currently a giveaway on this page)

I realize this isn't ON THE COVER but you can do this in the Emby Server now and put the rating under the cover art.

I've got a question about this plugin.

The ratings are only seen in webui or also in all the emby apps, for example in Emby Apple tv app that i use the most?

@fbrassin I am going to presume I already answered you on Github, but I'll write down the answers here for others too.

Posters are changed in all apps (phone, web, desktop, etc.) for all media servers (Plex / Emby / Jellyfin / Kodi), for all users.

Currently all posters are in english, and users have the ability of changing individual posters through the RPDB Folders app Web UI to national ones. In order to change the posters you will need Tier 2+ and to use the RPDB Folders app, the media server plugins don't support changing the posters yet.

A setting for default poster language has been requested before and is a planned feature, my hopes are that I'll manage to add this feature by the end of the week.

@fbrassin I just released RPDB Folders v0.1.4 which includes the options to set a default language for the posters. I will continue by adding this new feature to the dedicated media server plugins too.
