sualfred 677
It will look like this in the future. Just 1 call instead for each single genre.
xe` 42
From my dumb user perspective this looks completely intuitive. +1 At the risk of going even more Off Topic would a similar "Year" view be viable and also "Tags". I am sure some people use the remaining default Kodi views (Actors, Directors, Studios, counties and Title) but I would argue that Genre, Year and Tags are by far the most useful. sualfred 677
Nope. This screen is completely plugin generated for a native library and in case of EmbyCon it's using the server stored thumbnails. Kodi does not support any content based thumbnails of filtered folders like years, tags, etc.
xe` 42
I dont really know what a lot of that means but for the sake of context this is the feature that will hurt losing the most when we port to Embcon/Embuary (and the Tags one as well) https://imgur.com/a/i63ibQg
TeamB 2352
@@Luke i know there was a year filter in Embry some time ago, it was removed from the API at some point so had to drop support for it in EmbyCon, is that still the case Luke? I think there is a tag api now, I will look at adding it to EmbyCon.
Luke 37046
It should still be there. Take a look at the filters in the web app. I'm pretty sure it has a years option.
TeamB 2352
But how do I get a list of existing years and tags to build a menu?
TeamB 2352
Sorry my bad, I found it in, I though the /years and /tags returned the items not the list of years and tags.
TeamB 2352
I have added Years, Decades and Tags as option from the main EmbyCon menu for both libraries and global lists of Movies. This is now available in the Beta 1.9.42
