Red5ive 30 Posted October 21, 2019 Share Posted October 21, 2019 Been trying to work out which one would be best for my setup and the pros/cons of both plugins. I will be running Kodi and emby server on the same machine and using the Embuary skin in Kodi as that seems to be the one recommended for easiest setup. Emby for Kodi seems to be the more complete solution but read it is more resource heavy? The machine all of this will be running on will also be recording DVR via NextPVR and running Emby server and Kodi as its front end so would Embycon be the better option? Either way I would want the main menu items to go straight to the corresponding libraries of Emby, looks like the Embuary skin does all that magic itself, is that correct? It has auto library nodes detection to common Kodi library tags (Emby for Kodi is using those) and EmbyCon. To get the most Kodi and skin features you would have to use E4K. There is no "this is good and this is not" answer. Both of them are great and have their own usecase. Follow TeamB's advice and just decide what fits more to your needs.
