This is the beginnings of a new audio OSD. I've started with the mobile layout, so currently that's what you'll see on the desktop as well. The bottom bar holds the play queue, and you can click it to slide it up and down.

The plan for desktop layouts is to dock the play queue to the right as a sidebar.

You can shuffle prior to playback. Right now this is only about a new layout, not about new features.

Confused, which isn't unusual - docking the queue to the right as a sidebar ? does that mean image No 2 is temporary as the list in the bottom half will be something that appears and disappears from the right of the screen ?

Right because on a desktop you've got more horizontal space so we can take advantage of it and put the play queue to the right where you can see more of it at once.

Background artwork that we could see would be nice.

Just having a quick play with .15 on the desktop. Really like the fixed controls at the top with the (temporary) playlist scrolling below. Really don't like the huge album art in the middle getting in the way of the background.

(Am remembering this is in progress).

You can click on the three dots button next to a song and there's a Add To Playlist option there, unless you mean something completely different...

Yes exactly as arrbee99 mentioned above. Have you explored the three dot menus?

I like it, on first glance. On request though, can the previous-track button always appear, even on track 1 of the playlist, but maybe greyed out? Fo0r a consistent layout of buttons etc. I would guess next-track also disappears at the end of playlist?

Well i think we should always keep it there for another reason. If you're on the first item, it can just rewind back to the beginning.

Like i said for Movie OSD, an option for minimalist and full OSD display would be nice, like arrbee99 i prefer version without the album art but i understand some prefer have full display with album art.

When it supports 24bit stereo, I'll have no need to post but until then... So, there IS a need for now.
