Whenever there's a flash scene (tank gun fire, etc), this appears on the screen. Any ideas? Haven't seen this occur with any other movies. From the beginning, roughly 55.07, then 1:07, then 1:09. I quit playing the movie at 1:20. JaScoMa 33 Posted October 17, 2019 Author Share Posted October 17, 2019 It's "movie magic" they're adding to the movie and at certain points of the movie when the gun fires, they flash the screen. 5Mb/sec, 10Mb/sec, 15Mb/sec, 20Mb/sec, no problems and didn't display the odd pattern. If you look at the screen shot I included on the first posting, you'll see the "stats for nerds" entry for it. I've begun MKV for a number of movies and they all seem to work fine. It's just this in which they add a white flash to the screen whenever the tanks gun fires. Thank you.. JaScoMa 33 Posted October 21, 2019 Author Share Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) @ - The only audio options available with the MKV are two DTS 5.1 (DTS 5.1 HD and DTS 5.1) and two DD 5.1 audio channels. The two DD channels are people talking about what happens in the movie. "A high velocity shell hits the last tank in the column, destroying it.." Even though you aren't using HEVC, I think when the flash happens it might be out of the range of the container transport specs. I think it must have been a bad copy as now, I don't have that issue any longer.There was a minute file size difference between the two with the new rip being larger.I'll continue to monitor, but it's no longer occurring at this time.Thank you for all your assistance.
