naeyaert 8
Dear Emby I have a weird issue that has just started happening. I use a playlist to keep track of the movies I want to watch (add to playlist). My playlist is called "WATCHLIST" I have around 25 movies in my WATCHLIST What is weird is when I select a movie on my WATCHLIST, the wrong movie plays. I checked the metadata on the file and it points to the correct movie yet the wrong movie plays (it plays another movie from my watchlist and not the one I selected). I have attached some images to show what is happening... Capture 1 shows the list and the movie selection "Light of my Life" Capture 2 shows the path form the movie that points to the movie "Light of my Life" correctly Capture 3 shows what happens when I click on the movie in my WATCHLIST "Light of my Life" - it plays the movie "MIDSOMMAR"????????? It does this for all my movies in my WATCHLIST This once worked well and now it doesnt and I really dont want to have to rebuild my entire WATCHLIST Can someone please help me? Many thanks Rob
Luke 36882
Hi, looks like you enabled Cinema Intros, in which case the server is doing exactly what you configured it to do.

naeyaert 8
Luke sorry I don’t understand what you mean. This is a playlist and it was once working fine and I certainly don’t recall changing anything. Could you please elaborate or tell me where I turn this off so it works as expected please? Also what is cinema intros? Thanks in advance

naeyaert 8
Turn this feature off: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Cinema-Intros Hi Luke - this (Cinema Intros) is NOT turned on - please see screen shot provided below. If it was, surely this would be happening with ALL movies? To recap, this weird behavior ONLY happens when I select a movie from a Watch-list I created. I add the movie to the watch-list and then when I go to the watch-list to play a movie, it plays a random movie. ALL movies play normally from my movie library. Can you please help? Thanks Rob
Luke 36882
Is Midsommar in your library? Is it also in that playlist?
naeyaert 8
Yes - All the movies on my playlist exist in my library - I use the feature "add movie to playlist" so I then have a list of movies I can flick to to watch later as I have a lot of movies. To recap, when I add a movie to my library and I want to watch it later, I choose "add movie to playlist WATCHLIST so I then have a queue of movies to watch when I'm in the mood. This worked perfectly for a long time.
Luke 36882
But it's only happening with this one playlist entry, right?

naeyaert 8
Nope it was happening with over 50% of the files. Some would play correctly (as in the movie I selected would play) and then the other 50% of the time another movie in the playlist would play super weird. I say “was” happening as I discovered I had 3 duplicate movies added to my playlist. I had added “the hunt” twice - both were in the playlist and both were pointing to the correct movie yet one would play a the next movie on the list. I then deleted the duplicate entries and it seems to act properly now. Which begs the question “is this a bug”? You could rightfully assume that you could add a single movie (say “the hunt”) and no matter how many times it’s in the playlist it should still play the correct movie. I’m pretty sure that this is a bug but it’s fixed in my case simply by removing any double entries. Thoughts?
Luke 36882
Are you able to create the situation with a brand new playlist?
