Hello,

I hope everyone is well

Please will you advise me as to how i can type my server address into the app (i am using a ordinary remote not a keyboard).

Please also give an example of the correct format i must use on the samsung tv app (for example: my server is: https://myserver1,stream and port: 456)

I have a H series smart TV (i am not sure what the app version is but i installed it today)

Your Assistance and advice will be highly appreciated

Thank You :)

Can you tell us the model tv and where you installed the app from (IP/app store/usb)?  It would help if we knew which app you installed.

Thank you for your response,

I Followed the instructions listed on the following webpage to download (sync) the app onto my TV:

I will attempt to attach a picture of the app later today

I think you should get a number pad up on the screen with letters.  Pressing each number key on the remote should cycle through the letter options

So to get 'B' press 2 twice quickly, etc

Unfortunately there is no way to get to the number pad to change letters, i tried to press the same number quickly however that did not work.

Update: I think i found a work around that could work but i need advise as to the correct way to type the Server address as it says server not found.

As always your responses are highly appreciated

To be honest, something doesn't quite look right on that.

Could you please delete the app from the TV, cycle the power and try and install it again?

Thanks

The other problem is I don't think the client will support https, only http.

As a start, can you set you server to the default port without https and confirm you can connect, then try https after that.

If you server is https://my.server:456 where ip address for my.server is 192.168.1.2

You must enter either:

  • 192 168 1 2 456 in the top boxes; or,
  • my.server:456 in the bottom box

But, I think that you likely to have two problems:

  • I'm not sure how you enter a colon ':'
  • I can tell you for certain that with this client will only attempt connection via http (not https)
