Afaflix 1 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Hello,I just switched over from Plex and am currently in the decorating & sorting stage since it basically "just works". In plex I used my existing folder structure to have some sort of order when browsing ... essentially they are stored by genre and each folder is a library. In emby I simply scanned them all into 1 library and let Genre sort them out. Added some neat graphics and it looks real sharp. But I realized not all movies have proper metadata. How can I sort those out that don't have genre's or even those that are missing ID's altogether. The identification process is working pretty good ... but there are some that fell through the cracks, and my collection is a wee bit too big to simply check every single one. Thanks in Advance
arrbee99 1675 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Would this Missing Metadata filer help at all ?
Afaflix 1 Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 That would be awesome ... but it's missing the missing metadata option
Afaflix 1 Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 hm .. is that a Premiere only option then?
Happy2Play 9229 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 You just have to wait for the next release. As "Missing Metadata" is in the beta version currently. The only option in 4.2 is "Has Overview" filter.
Afaflix 1 Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 Ok .. cool, I'm not in a hurry with that. Thanks guys
Happy2Play 9229 Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Your other option it the Reports plugin. The Genre column is not sortable but you can export to excel and sort by that column. You also have those Filters above.
seanbuff 1029 Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 @@Afaflix, usually the 'Has Overview' is the only filter option you'll need to identify any titles that are missing relevant metadata, ie. Genre's and Missing IDs I suggest trying that filter you have now, it should give you a starting point at least.
