Yes typo on my part.

I just set up and tested EmbyCon ok on the XBox One, I had not tested this for a few versions but it looks like it is working fine for me, I also set up the Kodi Embuary skin on the XBox and that is also working fine with EmbyCon.

Kodi Log:

http://paste.kodi.tv/urihawesep

New Server Log attached

Tried to play Super Troopers 2 at 1645 with some errors in the log. Played the trailer just fine at 1644.

Maybe a problem with your .strm file?

Any trouble shooting tips? Did anything change with the 18.4 update that would affect this?

Check the contents of the .strm file and make sure the path in the file is reachable.

As far as I know I'm not using strm files. There aren't any in the local folders and I have Emby set to pretty much read only once I set up the files...

I'm going to try starting up a Emby server on a synology NAS and see if that works.

I think this is the internal HTTP server that is now used to do the playback management. I think this is a work around for a limitation in Kodi. I have not looked at the E4K addon for a long time and thus am not fully up to speed with its internal workings any longer so don't know for sure but at a guess I would say the above is having issues connecting to the local HTTP server the addon is using, this is probably due to a limitation of the client (XBox One).

Try a different playback method in the addon, try native or something else as I think the above approach is only used with addon playback.

Looks like the same error with the Synology server and native mode

When you switched to native mode did you reset the DB?

Its the internal http server so yes I think 127.0.0.1 is correct.

I did a complete reset on Kodi on my Xbox (uninstalled and started from scratch) and am still getting the same errors.

https://paste.kodi.tv/kuyeveroxi

In that log you'll see that:

Successfully played a trailer at 18:41:53.655 with E4K

Failed a movie at 8:42:26.000 with E4K

Failed a movie at 18:44:25.847 with EmbyCon

No errors in the server logs

It looks like there might be some sort of weird interaction between the two addons.

Can you uninstall E4K and just use EmbyCon to test. This might clean up the log a little as well.

From what I can see EmbyCon is building the direct stream link ok and sends it to the video player ok.

I disabled E4K and EmbyCon works fine now.  Not sure what it up with E4K but I'd prefer to get that up and working (wife and kids find it much easier to use)

Logs:

https://paste.kodi.tv/muhoyedowi

Still throws an error but played the video at 22:17:10.597

Might throw Kodi on a Nvidia Shield sometime this week and see if E4K works there.

Embycon plays for me no problem. For me, the issue is with the Emby for Kodi Sync add-on. It synchronizes the library, but cannot play.

If you are referring to this error from EmbyCon that is expected and will not effect your playback, it is just Kodi letting you know the play action request is not playable but the playback is handled by the play service so all good:

Is it really possible for the two addons to conflict with each other?

Yes it is possible but I thought the two addons worked ok together, I will have to test again, its been a while since I tested E4K and EmbyCon together.

From the log it looks ok but there is some weird playlist hooking going on in E4K now that I don't remember seeing before.
