Auto Organize Issue

I seem to be having an issue with Auto Organize.  Not sure if this is normal behaviour or something on my end not setup correctly.

When I download an episode of a tv show, auto organize will copy it to the appropriate tv series folder as long as the folder has an existing episode in it.   If the folder is blank, then auto organize won't copy the file.

An ex,

Let's say I've downloaded season 1 of a tv show as the season progresses.  Once the season is over and I've watch all episodes I delete the season 1 episodes.  You would think that when Season 2 starts and I download the first episode of the new season, it would copy the episode to the appropriate folder, but it doesn't.

The only way to get auto organize to copy the new episode to the folder would be to manually copy the file to the series folder.  After that is done, then all new episodes will be copied, as long as I don't clear out the episodes I've watched.

This is really frustrating.  Am I missing something?

Hi, yes it is expected. If you want to create a new series, then I think you need to do it manually within auto-organize. Or I think there might be an option to allow creation of new series. I don't quite recall for sure.

I don't want to create a new series.  I just would like auto organize to copy files to the series folder even if there are no existing episodes in it.  I don't delete the series folder when done, I only delete the episodes in it.

I should add that you can't do it manually in auto organize.  If I click the episode in auto organize and select the organize button, when you select a tv series from the drop down, the series will no longer show up in there.  It's as if the series is removed from the library when the folder has no episodes in it.  The ony way around it really is to always leave one episode in the folder.   I just don't think this is the best way to handle this.

An empty series folder isn't a series. It needs to have at least one episode.

That's for organizing into existing series. That's not way i said. I believe it has a separate process for new series.
